Tim founded Map the Gaps in 2019, with fellow Grand Prize Winners from the Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE competition. Serving as the Executive Director for this volunteer based non-profit has been a rewarding experience for him. He leads all activities related to Map the Gaps, including communications, project development, partner networking, ocean exploration missions and more.

He’s a busy guy, but when he’s not championing the last great exploration on Earth, you can find him enjoying time with his family on the rugged coastline of Vancouver Island.

Courtney is an accomplished fundraising professional who brings a vast portfolio of experiences to Map the Gaps.  She has successfully led development initiatives for universities, independent schools, health care institutions, nonprofit, and community-based organizations. She has a proven track record of raising millions of dollars for organizations.

Ms. Brady has a passion for the ocean and protecting our natural resources.  She is an avid scuba diver, carries certifications in reef renewal and shark awareness, and holds a master’s degree in Marine Science from Unity College.  She lives in Charleston, SC with her husband, Matt, their two daughters, Izzy and Lillie, and their two dogs.

Ken has spent over twenty-five years advancing high-technology products and businesses, with a focus on sustainable marine autonomous systems. He was a founding executive at Harbor Wing Technologies, where he promoted innovative wind-powered unmanned vessels and secured patents and trademarks. Later, as a founding director and CFO of Ocean Aero, he guided growth, finances, and operations while helping pioneer environmentally efficient ocean platforms for maritime data collection.

In 2018, Ken became Chief Operations Officer at Terradepth, supporting the launch of Absolute Ocean, a cloud-based data platform, and advancing autonomous underwater vehicle technology to expand ocean exploration.

Ken retired in 2023 and now lives on Camano Island, WA, with his wife Mary. He consults through Map the Gaps and enjoys travel, boating, fishing, skiing, and time with his family.

Natalie is an amazing human being.

Tomer is a cofounder and one of the principal directors of Map the Gaps. He is responsible for cultivating new mapping projects, developing strategic relationships and critical thinking on the long term roadmap of the organization. Working closely with the rest of the management team, he is able to help guide the direction of the non-profit, yet able to roll up his sleeves and dive into mapping projects that are changing the face of the global map of our oceans.

Tomer works full-time with Schmidt Ocean Institute, spending long spells at sea supporting oceanographic expeditions globally.

Partner at an investment fund, Investment Banking Specialist, and Strategist with a background in Bluetech, providing financial services and advisory for environmentally-focused ventures in renewable energy, innovation, and ocean technology.

His experience spans energy, natural resources, energy storage, and advanced technologies, including robotics and AI, with a particular focus on ocean data—both in situ and satellite-driven solutions.

As a strategist, he brings an entrepreneurial approach to investment, aligning strategies to meet market needs with capital, while driving innovation and contributing to the sustainable development and preservation of our ocean and planet.

Roxy is the Project Director for the Nippon Foundation / GEBCO Training Program at the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping/Joint Hydrographic Center (CCOM/JHC) at the University of New Hampshire. Roxy was a founding member of Map the Gaps after co-leading the GEBCO - Nippon Foundation Alumni team to winning the Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE grand-prize ($4M) winners.

Roxy volunteers her time to Map the Gaps to help provide the opportunity for all Training Program alumni to connect and share their knowledge, essential for an improved global understanding of our oceans.
